I love to take my coffee and my sleepy self out to my deck after I've fed the furry ones. Sometimes on cool, dewy mornings I'm fortunate enough to witness the result of a spider's nighttime toil.
I found this beauty when I was retrieving a pot that had rolled under the planting table.
I grow a dozen or two of gladiolus on my deck, tucked into big pots of annuals. They provide excellent anchor-points for webs.
Rarely do I spy the creators of these wonders, so I can't properly thank them for letting me observe their art.
